Ayrault’s The Yard is home to the Reno Hurricanes, the areas premier youth baseball tournament program. The Hurricanes’ age groups range from 8-18 and compete throughout Northern California and Nevada.

Ayrault’s The Yard and the Reno Hurricanes is a competitive baseball program committed to developing the areas’ youth into great people and great baseball players. We provide our players with expert instruction allowing each player to reach their full potential in the game. We teach and promote the values of competition, hardwork, positive attitude, respect, integrity and teamwork. We treat all of our athletes, their families, coaches and all involved with complete respect. We operate with integrity in everything we do, and our first priority is to ensure the athletes’ safety, and we will take all steps to necessary prevent injury. We will hire and train only those coaches that have demonstrated their commitment to meet the highest ethical and moral standards and share The Yard’s Philosophy.
About The Yard:
The Yard offers specialized sports training, lessons, clinics and cage time seven days per week for both players and coaches. One-on-one and group lessons are offered, focusing on physical and mental training and enhancing the concepts of teamwork, confidence and respect. Lessons are $45 per half hour, $70 per hour or $50 per coach for two-hour little league coaching clinics.
The Yard was founded by Bob Ayrault in 2010. With more than 20 years of professional baseball and high school coaching experience, Ayrault aims at enhancing the skills of players of all ages, particularly Little League players, coaches and other more serious baseball enthusiasts. The Yard offers specialized training, tips and lessons geared towards catchers, hitters, infielders, outfielders and pitchers. In addition, The Yard also offers monthly memberships and team or personal cage rentals by appointment.
Involved in baseball since high school, Ayrault brings a wealth of skill and experience to The Yard, having played professionally for the Florida Marlins, Los Angeles Dodgers, Philadelphia Phillies, Pittsburg Pirates and Seattle Mariners. Ayrault also played professional baseball in Mexico and Taiwan, coached the Reno Chuckars and the Reno Blackjacks and currently coaches varsity baseball at Bishop Manogue High School. He knows how to get your player to the next level. Ayrault is a native of South Lake Tahoe, Calif. and attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas prior to making his move to the big leagues.
